Glenn Beck, think before you preach

UPDATE: Wow. FOX News claimed copyright and had the video removed. That's a first. They never do that.

UPDATE: Right Scoop grabbed the video:

Something very disturbing happened today on FOX. Glenn Beck, who has, for the most part, steered clear of jihad, sharia and Islamic supremacism, put his toe in the water, and for the first time since I started fighting  the long war, I got nervous.

Beck just called Wilders a fascist, and far-right.

He also mixed up Dominique de Villepin with Jean Marie Le Pen.

What is he doing?

Why would he stigmatize Wilders this way? Wilders is the embodiment of what our founding fathers extolled. Individual rights. Freedom of speech. Not sharia law.

Was Beck saying that the UK was right to ban Wilders in the interest of "community harmony?" And the fact that he was allowed to enter the UK last week was a dire sign?

He runs videos of the riots in Greece, but never runs the Muslim rampages throughout Europe.

Beck is out of his depth in this. You cannot get up to speed on Europe in one crash course. The Islamic/left-wing fringe is everywhere, but what right fringe is he talking about in Europe? It can't be Le Pen, he is nowhere. Is this going after SIOE, and the EDL?

Is this going to be be Beck's narrative? If so, he is wrong. And he ought to be silent until he learns everything.

Beck could destroy the freedom movement in Europe -- and the US -- if he erroneously stigmatizes it as fascist. The little green monster is one thing, andGlenn Beck is another.

UPDATE: Beck should know better. He is doing what the left-wing media did to the tea parties: labeled them fascists and racists with impunity.

I will post the Beck video as soon as I find a vidclip -- perhaps he hasn't seen this video...

If everyone is a bad guy, even the good guys, who is going to fight the good fight?

UPDATE: There was more on Brett Baier. They are drinking the Waleed-provided Kool-aid over there.  (hat tip Jen)

UPDATE Here is Beck's interview with Geert last year.

Beck understood exactly the points Wilders was making and knows that this man's political perspective is far far from fascism. hat tip Dee

UPDATE: The green traitor is eating it up. Hat tip Armaros
up chuckie belched :

anti-Muslim Dutch MP Geert Wilders (who wants to ban the Koran and make Islam itself illegal).

This is one of those Bizarro days, because I actually find myself agreeing with Glenn Beck. Geert Wilders is a far right ideologue, and the European far right does equal fascism. How the heck did Beck ever get this one right?

Armaros said;

Wilders never wanted to make Islam illegal and neither did he want to ban the Koran. He wants to limit Muslim immigration (e.g. Quebec limits non French speaking immigration)

and compared the Koran to Mein Kampf. He did not want to ban Islam !

This is the biggest lie perpetrated about him and which makes him look like a bigot. It is Alinsky Takiya!!

Wilders was making a point about hate speech laws and how hypocritical was it for him to be pursued while the Koran gets off the hook.

WALID SHOEBAT FOUNDATION RESPONDS TO CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER'S REMARKS ABOUT GEERT WILDERS.......

Dear Mr Krauthammer,

I usually agree with and highly respect your views and opinions on most matters but on the Islam issue you are DEAD WRONG. This is where I am very well informed and as a result, have obtained a certain level of expertise.
I run an organization that deals exclusively with former Muslims, all apostates from Islam. Some have become Christians while others are secular with beliefs now ranging from atheist to agnostic. Geographically they come from Pakistan, The Middle East and the United States.
Every single one of them - there are dozens - holds a view contrary to yours, maintaining that perverted or extreme interpretations of Islam are not the problem. Islamism and moderate Islam are one in the same; there is no difference. While it is true that many Muslims do not commit violence in the USA, the information provided by the former Muslims I work with is that the vast majority of Muslims would sympathize with the terrorists' goals. The simplest analogy is that most Americans support our troops with only a minority of Americans actually serving in the military.
This is the simplest way to compare the situation. Yes, many Muslims condemn terror publicly. However, when speaking in their mother tongue of Arabic they sing a different tune; we can cite numerous examples.

Ask yourself why Fox News and all of the other networks rarely interview apostates from Islam or former Muslims. The reason is that no ex-Muslim will give the view that you gave on the Fox News panel yesterday when commenting on Geert Wilders. It is easy to label Mr. Wilders - who has a Judeo Christian background - a "demagogue", as Bill Kristol did. It's not so easy to do when the source of those claims is a former Muslim using similar debasing terms. Wilders is 100% correct about Islam and any former Muslim would hold a similar view. It would be difficult for a political commentator such as you to refute such a person while maintaining greater credibility than that kind of expert.
The politically correct view we got from you and the others on the panel is dangerous for America and more dangerous than any healthcare bill that would ever pass.
If you did not see the interview on Sean Hannity last week with the Son of Hamas, please check it out on our website as http://www.shoebat.com/videos/sonHamas.php This should also dispel the myth of "moderate Islam" which is a "Western media invention" (actually a direct quote from a Muslim on an interview on Irish TV that included Walid Shoebat). On our website we have placed evidence from Muslims, former Muslims and experts that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that Islam is not a peaceful religion. Please check out especially this PJTV interview http://www.shoebat.com/videos/pjtv1.php It is with a former analyst from the Pentagon who was commissioned to do a report on "moderate Islam" by the Joint Chiefs of Staff. It is shocking and disturbing; I implore you to watch it (14 minutes long).
Islam has only had a secular mode and "non-violent" strain from 1920 (fall of the Ottoman Empire) until about 1979 (fall of the Shah). If you study Islam's 1400 year history, it has always spread by the sword. You just happen to live in the period just after the Turkish Caliphate defeat, but you are witnessing the new rise of Islam which is also clearly described in the Bible. If you study the ideology of Islam closely, the evidence itself is based both on the writings of all recognized Islamic scholars in their religious jurisprudence; it is based on the testimonies of countless former Muslims who are, for the most part, excluded from the discourse in the media out of political correctness. These things prove that Islam itself is not peaceful and that Muslims who are peaceful are that way despite the religion and not because of it.
When Nazis took over Germany they were initially a small minority but it did not stop them from taking over because good people were silent, did little, or did nothing.
Even if "Islamism" - as you describe it Mr Krauthammer - is the problem, the dangerous minority can still take over the majority and it is irrelevant whether moderate Islam exists or not; if the Islamists take control, the moderates would be subjugated in a way not dissimilar to what happened in Germany before the war.
An American-born former Muslim once said to me, "When I was a Muslim I attended about 20 mosques here in America. I can say that every single one of them preached the hatred of Jews, Americans and Israel. Americans are being deceived by their media, their leaders and political commentators; political correctness is literally going to kill millions of you." - Zak Izzat a former Muslim born Detroit in the USA.
I rest my case. Please stop the political correctness. If you do not wish to speak the truth on Islam, please don't lower yourself to the level of apologizing for it. Help give voice to people who can tell the truth while not being labeled as "bigots" or "demagogues". They speak out at risk to their own lives so that you, Mr. Krauthammer can continue to speak in a free press, because all Islamic organizations in America are front groups for terrorists and their objective is to subjugate us all under Sharia law. If they are successful, they would not only silence you but kill you too because you are a Jew just as I am.
Yours respectfully
Keith Davies

Saudi Control

Senior Intelligence Officials: Attempted Terror Attack "Certain"

The five senior leaders of the U.S. intelligence community told a Senate panel they are "certain" that terrorists will attempt another attack on the United States in the next three to six months.
If true, why do you think the jihadists feel emboldened?
The Obama administration is seen as weak against terrorism.
Its continued backlash against the policies of the former Bush administration.
Not sure.

Exclusive: Fox Becomes a Hen? ‘CAIR’ and Imbalance? News Corporation Falls Under Saudi Control

Paul Williams, PhD

Former prominent guests on Fox News, including Walid Shoebat, contend that the News Corporation has surrendered its “fair and balanced” coverage of Islam and events in the Middle East for a fistful of Saudi cash.

Their contention is based on a series of recent developments within the media giant.
The first development was the news that Rupert Murdoch, CEO of News Corporation, invested $70 million in the Rotana Group, an enterprise owned by Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, a nephew of Saudi King Abdullah. The Rotana Group operates a host of TV channels throughout the Middle East and is a leading producer of Arabic movies.
Next came Mr. Murdoch’s decision to make Abu Dhabi, the headquarters of the News Corporation’s global media operations in the Middle East.

On Monday, the Fox Business
Network announced that it will dispatch a full-time correspondent to the Middle East in order to inform Americans of the unique business opportunities in such places as Syria, a country that provides shelter for Hamas, the Islamic Jihad, and Hezbollah and support the insurgents in Iraq.

In the wake of this announcement, Fox news commentators – including Glenn Beck, Charles Krauthammer, A.B. Stoddard and Bill Kristol – condemned Geert Wilders, a well-respected Dutch dignitary and critic of radical Islam, as a “fascist” and a “demagogue.”

Mr. Krauthammer said that Mr. Wilders, who is the leading candidate for Prime Minister in The Netherlands, doesn’t know the difference between Islam and Islamism, a distinction known only to Mr. Krauthammer.

While Mr. Beck labeled Mr. Wilders as a “fascist,” Ms. Stoddard expressed her agreement with Krauthammer and added that “if people like this (Mr. Wilders) are elected to lead Holland it will suffer the consequences.

What caused this denunciation?

Mr. Wilders produced a short documentary
on Islam in Holland called Fitna in which he argued that “there is no such thing as ‘moderate Islam’” and that the Prophet Muhammad would “. . . in these days be hunted down as a terrorist.”

In the past, the former member of the Dutch National Parliament was a frequent guest on Fox News. Last February, Bill O’Reilly welcomed Mr. Wilders to America, while condemning a scared Britain for banning him entrance to the country.

Other news about the parent company of Fox News began to surface, including reports that Kingdom Holding owns at least 7 percent of the News Corporation and has become the second largest shareholder in the Murdoch conglomerate. Some speculate that the actual shares controlled by Kingdom Holding through a hedge fund may exceed 25 percent.

Kingdom Holding is owned by Prince Talal, who is called “the Arabian Warren Buffet.”
Listed by Forbes as the world’s 22nd richest person, Prince Talal also owns substantial shares of Time Warner, Apple, eBay, Disney, and Citibank.

As for charity, he gives millions to Hamas and other pro-Palestinian organizations.
Critics say that Prince Talal’s sizeable investment in the News Corporation accounts for Fox News programs critical of Israel, including a series of special reports in which Carl Cameron and Brit Hume alleged that Israel gathered information about the attacks of 9/11 and failed to warn the American people.

Walid Shoebat, a former member of the Palestine Liberation Organization, who converted to Christianity, charges that Fox New now prohibits critics of Islam and Islamic terror from appearing on its broadcasts.

"He himself (Prince bin Talal) said, 'I just had to make a phone call to [tell them to] stop using the word Muslim' regarding the rioting in France," Mr. Shoebat notes. "Bill O'Reilly says to Ibrahim Hooper, the head of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), that he is an upstanding citizen. Since when was the head of CAIR an upstanding citizen?"

Mr. Shoebat adds that viewers will no longer be seeing any so-called "Islamophobes" on Fox.

"Today, I'm not invited at Fox News. Neither is Robert Spencer or Brigitte Gabriel," he laments. "But Ibrahim Hooper is invited to speak at Fox News. It used to be that experts on terrorism who are critical of the Islamic views [were] able to get a voice on Fox News. Those days are gone."

Mr. Shoebat says that instead of airing those critical views of Islam, Fox News now legitimizes Hooper, the spokesman for CAIR, a group which he maintains is a front for Islamic terrorists.

Is Fox News tilting toward the Arabs?
Jed Gladstein
I wondered how long it would take after Saudi money was insinuated into Rupert Murdoch's empire before anti-Semitism hit the Fox News airwaves in the form of tug-at-your-heart, pro-Arab, mini-hit pieces against the State of Israel. It didn't take long.

Did anyone notice Shepard Smith's passionate rant against Israel on behalf of the Palestinian Arabs a few days ago? I always thought Smith was just a smarmy, jock-type teeny-bopper. But he obviously knows which side his bread is buttered on, and he is fully capable of getting all lathered up over something about which he is absolutely ignorant.

Today on Fox News, Amy Kellogg did another hit piece on Israel, using a cute little heart-strings-tugger about the peaceful Syrian civilians who picnic on the Golan Heights in nostalgic longing for the times when it belonged to Syria. Of course, there was no mention of the carnage and slaughter inflicted on peaceful Israeli citizens when the Syrians were in charge of the Golan. Apparently, there's no nostalgia in that.

But, what I am wondering is this: since, by its own definition, Fox News is "fair and balanced," where are all the tug-at-your-heart-strings pieces about dispossessed Middle Eastern Jews and innocent Israeli citizens? What's that? Did someone say there aren't any Saudi Princes bankrolling propaganda pieces about non-Arabs in the Middle East? Well, well, who would ever suspect that the power of petro-dollars would turn Fox News into just another anti-Israel propaganda outlet?
